There would almost always be a serial number on the valve casing. It's really too bad that they don't make these anymore, because the Kanstul custom class piccolo trumpet is so much fun! We just got this in on trade, and not only is it a great horn, but it's a great trip down memory lane. Kanstul at one point put their 'K' logo onto the Besson horns they made - if you see that it is certainly Kanstul made, and would probably be an early one.
